Girl was encouraged to teach man a lesson after he allegedly followed her on her way to college and then passed lewd comments at her. The woman, who is about 17 years old, was riding her bicycle on her way to college when the man, also from the same area, started following her in his motorcycle.

According to a complaint to the police, he passed lewd comments at her. On her way, she met her uncle and told him about the man, identified as Sabir, following her. While her uncle stopped Sabir and told him off, locals caught hold of him and asked the woman to thrash him

He was later handed over to police, where he has been booked for harassing the woman as well as under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. “We have given instructions to the local police to book him under the Goonda Act,”

“This is essentially a preventive act and his activities will be monitored in the future.”
